Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to United has stunned everyone in the world of football because there are strong confirmations from reliable sources that he is on a move to Manchester City arch-rival of Manchester United. And United fans were in anguish or disheartened after listening to this news. But how things changed in football is just unimaginable within 3 hours the rumors arise that United have shown interest in Ronaldo and there is a twist in the story and then what happens is astonishing because 3hours later Manchester United confirm the deal of Cristiano Ronaldo through their social media, and this is football world for you. Sometimes I think that why football is so crazy and why people are mad about Football, but when I see this type of thing happening then I understand this is the reason why people are crazy about football.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, United will pay €20 M to Juventus with the variable and this contract will be for 2 years until 2023. And there is no confirmation about salary but I feel Ronaldo will get the almost or even same amount that Juventus was paying to him around €31M.

Who watches football and they know about Kylian Mbappe they might be aware of his desire to play for Real Madrid and after every year it feels like this summer, Real Madrid will come and smash the bag of cash on the table and will lure the Mbappe but it was not happening. But people think this transfer window will be the one but till now it seems like Madrid wants him in 2022 on a free transfer but “NO”, a day before yesterday they presented their official offer of €160 M, but the offer was declined by PSG immediately, which was not a surprise. But yesterday PSG sporting director Leonardo spoke to the media and he said “if Kylian wants to join Madrid and we will not hold him back, We said NO to Madrid’s offer, but our conditions are met, we’ll see”. What can we make of this statement? The message is clear from PSG, if you want to go you can go but it should be on our condition. And here conditions mean the money. It is my opinion or you can say what is said in the media in recent days, anything above €180 M or 190 M will make this deal happen because PSG still has to pay Monaco €35 M, so through this deal, they want to cover that also and not to forget that huge signing fee. But Madrid is in pole position right now and by this bid, they are just showing to Kylian, hey see we have put the money on the table for you but they were not convinced and now next summer you are a free agent and put a signature on the paper and play for the club you love whole life. I feel PSG is in a very difficult position because they have already presented the two offers but the Mbappe is firm and he declined both offers, and even they also don’t want him to go free because of the money they paid for him in 2017 and we all know the value of Kylian Mbappe, in the current market he is one of that player beside Haaland for whom club can pay around €200 M. So I am expecting more drama in next 5 days and if Madrid doesn’t make any more bid then it is clear that they just want to send a message to Mbappe and they will welcome him in next 2022 transfer window when he will be a free agent.

England and India are all set to play their 3rd test match on 25 August 2021, and everyone was expecting a Headingley pitch a green top. But for now, it is looking like England plans are different for this match, As it is seen in the past ;Headingley pitch is one of the tracks which favor the pacers most. But in the pre-match press conference, Virat Kohli made a shocking or you can say unanticipated statement where he said that there is not much grass on the pitch and it surprises me because I just can’t digest that you are playing in Leeds and there is no grass on the pitch, and this also says a lot about England team state of mind. After the Lords and Trent-Bridge match, England has found that the Indian pacers’ battery is too good for their batsmen. And except Joe Root in both matches, there are no single batsmen you can point out and say that he looks confident all the time. And even when I am discussing with my friends latter we were discussing like who is playing on home ground, because England was flattered by Indian Bowling and completely get dominated by Indian bowling which speaks a ton about their batsmen ability and Yes, of course, our Indian Bowlers were firing shots on both matches.

What India can do from here? Virat Kohli has said during the press conference that they have decided their 12 men for tomorrow’s match and on the toss, they will announce whom they will play. I think after this statement, this makes a solid case for R. Ashwin as if the wicket is not covered with the grass there is a high chance that on day 4 or day 5 wicket will get dry and the spinners will come into play. But the main question is that if Ashwin plays the match then who he will replace. There can be many permutations and combinations we can make about the 11. In a realistic world, if Ashwin is supposed to play then he should replace Ishant or Jadeja. But if he comes in place of Jadeja then our batting will look weak as the last batsmen will be Rishabh Pant on Number 6. And from 7 it will be Ashwin which is not a good idea because, in India, you can still back Ashwin to bat on Number 7 but in England, you need more solid batsmen like Jadeja. And if India doesn’t want to go with Jadeja then they can go with Shardul Thakur and Ashwin, so in that way, you are getting a frontline spinner and getting a fast-bowling all-rounder like Thakur who has shown in Australia that he can score runs. Or as I said earlier make one change only you can replace Ishant with Ashwin. And I don’t think India will go wild with the changes, there is a high probability we can see the same 11 or Ashwin making in the 11 because India will also want to seal the series first. And you don’t get a better chance to beat England in England. And India has everything that they need right now and by winning the Leeds match, they will put themselves in a position from where they can’t lose a series. So I am going for India to win this test match and but England can retaliate as they are the host nation and 2 good sessions in your favor and you start believing yourself and momentum got changes and the crowd comes behind your back and then what happens next you never know. But still, I feel if India does what they are doing in the last two matches they can win this match.

After Messi’s departure, things have become complicated for Barca as they are missing one of the most important players. And next summer Haaland will be available and people even go as far as to say that don’t give number 10 to anyone and let Haaland come in and take this responsibility for Barca or they might pursuit any new superstar for the team. But seeing the clubs’ financial position I don’t see this happening because if you consider Haaland’s Release clause which will be around €75-80 M, and then his dad commission fees and then Mino Raiola (agent) commission the transfer will go up to €150 M and seeing Barca financial position, I am not just buying this argument that Barca can sign him or any world-class players because over the years we have seen good players just cost over $100M and if Barca doesn’t find solutions to offload some big wage earners next season and get fail to collect money or to raise money, I just can’t see this type of signing happening in near future but Curlers are optimistic and even so am I. So England has won the toss in this match and invited India to bat first which looks pretty naive decision by Joe Root as the conditions were not as difficult as in Nottingham where they decided to bat first. So India came up strong and put up 120 odd runs opening partnership and finished the innings in 364 runs but it can be more if that collapse didn’t happen on day 2 in 1st session but overall it was a good score and then England came strong as with the help of Joe Root unbeaten 180 runs they made 391. And by this, they took a lead of 27 runs and after the end of day 3, the match was looking pretty equal. And the real action was supposed to happen on day 4 and day 5. India openers come to bat on day 4 with the high hopes of giving another solid start to the team but the early wicket of Rahul makes things a bit clumsy and subsequently, Rohit got out. And then Virat Kohli got out to Sam Curran. Within 50 runs India have lost their 3 wickets and their lead was 20-23 runs at that time and at the end of 1st session England was on top of India and India needs fighting innings from their two most experienced batsmen Ajinkya Rahane and Pujara. And they delivered at the right moment. But in the 3rd session India lost their 3 wickets and the pressure was on India again and with the end of the day, everyone’s eyes were sighted on day 5 but everyone was putting their bets on England. And on day 5 Pant got out early and subsequently, Ishant Sharma got out. And England was in full control and to be honest after the Pant wicket I thought now this match is gone. And after Tea India took an early wicket of Joe Root and India started smelling the Victory and when 10 overs were left and India needed 10 wickets at that moment I started thinking it will be difficult but Boom-Boom Bumrah got other plans he took a wicket of Robinson on the slower blower and the stage was set for young lad Mohammed Siraj, and he showed the path of the dressing room to Buttler first and then James Anderson and with that wicket, India won the test match and they got ahead in the series by 1-0.
I have to mention India’s fighting spirit here, the team was confident, there was a firm belief that they can do it. First in Australia and now in England, it is just magical. But with the departure of Messi and their defense traumas, nothing is looking easy for them. And I still feel Atletico Madrid have all the resources to defend their Title this season and both of the European Giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are injured, they are trying to heal their wounds right now and the mess they are in will be difficult for both of the team to win League this season especially Barca, but in LaLiga head to head matches are important and when these giants collide we know anything can happen because of the rivalry they share and the level of football these 3 teams play and when they met each other so it will be crucial how they play against each other and how they earn that 3 point in every weekend. So for now my vote is for Atletico Madrid but I just want to say never write off Barca and Madrid because they are arguably the two best clubs in the world and they know how to fight. So Atletico will be 1st and then I feel Barca will do a job done for 2nd position and then Real Madrid will secure the 3rd position and we can see that this position can be interchanged Barca might be 3rd and Madrid can be 2nd and Sevilla, Real Sociedad, and Villareal can fight for that 4th place or the European places but it will be interesting how viewership of Laliga will be affected after the departures of fan favorites stars especially Lionel Messi who brings lots of endorsements and viewership to the LaLiga.

Today’s blog will be a bit different from others because I rarely dedicate my blogs to discussing the technicalities of the game. So I feel this is the high time to do it and this blog will be a bit special for me because I will try to put all my experience into writing this and make you guys an educated cricket fan. Yes, today we will talk about the Indian Cricket team opening pair, Rohit Sharma and K.L.Rahul. Before the start of the series, everyone had their doubts about how Indian opening duo will perform as in previous blogs I had mentioned several times that in SENA countries the opening Partnership is so important and it lays the foundation for other batsmen to make runs and it makes the batting bit easier for middle-order batsmen because no batsmen want to play in the situation where the team is down by 2-3 wickets in first 10-20 overs and last 10 years India has suffered a lot in SENA countries as they have not managed to put a 100 run opening partnership. The first and foremost thing is when we play in SENA countries it is important to play the ball under the eyes, it means you are inviting the ball to come close to your body and when you play balls which are closed to your body and under the eyes, a batsman is in more control because his body weight will be more correct, their head position will be right and he is not throwing his bat towards the ball and which decreases the chance of edges and in England where ball seam and swings it is important to play close to the body, so you are in more control and you are certainly decreasing the chances of getting out. The third thing which I feel Rahul Dravid was a Picasso of that thing is playing the ball with soft hands. It becomes vital for the teams or the Batsmen to play with the soft hands in seaming conditions. Why does a player need to play with soft hands? Here is a simple logic when you play with the soft hands you just take the pace out of the ball and even if it takes the edge of your bat, it will not carry to the slip or the wicket-keeper. Top 4 Picks- When it comes to Premier League ,the hardest thing is to predict what will happen like in recent years Premier league have evolve so much and till last match top 4 positions didn’t get decided. And I want to say that these predictions are based on facts and depth in the squads they have so please don’t judge me. So a team who will finish 4th will be Liverpool, their main players are back from injury but still we don’t know how Van Dijk or Gomez will perform or their legendary trio of Mane-Firmino-Salah will have a another disappointing season or they will perform at their best, and also they have not made major summer signings except Konate and they have lost Wijnaldum who was a important piece of Klopp’s team. So there are many difficulties ahead of them and in this season I personally feel they don’t stand a chance to win league considering their bench strength and everything. So they will be 4th for me.

For 3rd spot I am going for Manchester United, Yes they had a good transfer windows they have managed to sign Varane and Sancho which is a great addition to the team and I believe in coming years, Red Devil will see their impact in long-term but this season I think they will take time to adjust to the style of Premier League especially Varane who plays a different ball game in Laliga. And even they still lack in No.9 position, they have Martial and Cavani and to me Martial doesn’t impress me and it will be a big challenge for Cavani to play all those matches and handling premier league physicality considering they will fight in champions league and for other domestic cups. So this year United will finish 3rd or even 2nd but there is a high probability they will finish 3rd. I am putting Chelsea on 2nd I think under Tuchel, Chelsea have managed to play good football and with the signing of Lukaku which is considered to be imminent and last season under Tuchel one thing he was missing a proper no.9 who can bang goals and Lukaku is just world-class and he will finish his unfinished business here, so they have a high chance of finishing 2nd or even winning title this year. And for me winner will be Manchester City, they will retain their title under Pep, I think what City has to do win this season is start strong because like last season they might not get a chance to climb a table if they go behind by 10-12 points in starting 10 league matches so they have to start strong. And yes they got a signature of Jack Grealish who will be a good signing for them, he is a versatile payers who can dribble pass players, can win fouls in important situations and he will be a great asset to the attack. And even so City can seal the deal of Kane also which looks hard to me but I feel still they got a higher chance of winning league. And the team which can blow everyone mind last season will be Leeds United, I think this team Under Bielsa really flourished and the fight they showed against big 6 last season was just amazing at home they haven’t lost a single match against big six which is something really impressive who was just promoted to Premier league and I believe they will fight for Europa places for sure this season and they have strenghted the team with the likes of Junior Firpo, Jack Harrison, Lief Davis and Mateusz Bogusz. Top Goal-scorer of the season- Romelu Lukaku or Harry Kane Player of the year- Kevin De Bruyne So this is my thoughts about the Premier league season of 2021-22, which is on a verge to begin. Antoine Griezmann is the player who needs to take responsibility now, this is his third season at Barca and now he can play at his favorite position where Messi plays, we have seen in the past with Atletico Madrid and France how good Griezmann is when he plays that pure No.10 role, where every ball goes through him and this is the season where Griezmann can show to the world that after Ronaldo and Messi, he can be a key man of any team and he has shown in the past and doing it in Barcelona will just stamp his authority and how great he is. I hope everything goes fine with injury recovery and as a fan, I have faith in him. And I have to mention one name here Yusuf Demir, I am not expecting him this season to blow everyone away but till now what we have seen from 18 years old is just sensational, and he can bring some excitement to the attacks he is a kind of player who likes to take on players and have good acceleration so he can be an enticing prospectus.
And when it comes to midfield, this is the year where Frenkie has to take a one step forward in his role, he will be crucial for Barca success and of course, young prodigy Pedri who was brilliant at such young age, and I hope he keeps himself fit after a long season and keep doing what he is doing. Neeraj started too strong in this competition as he was the only one to cross 86meter distance in the qualifications. And he was looking strong and moving to finals he got a real possibility of winning the first-ever medal for India in athletics and yes he did it. And in finals also he started solidly as in his first attempt he crosses 86 Meter mark and claims the first position for himself at the starting of the finals and it surely builds the momentum for him and in the second attempt he was just mind-blowing as he covers the distance of 87.58 meters which got him gold medal but after that, his performance dips in next 4 attempts but who cares the job is done, he is bringing gold for his country and he is the history creator for India. So big congratulation to Neeraj Chopra and thank you also for making this dream a reality we always used to think when we will win a medal in athletics but you made it a reality.
