I have been following football for the last 10 years but I have never witnessed this much craziness in one transfer window. First Ramos moved to PSG, then Messi to PSG, Jack to City, Varane to United, and much more drama in this transfer window, like I have discussed the Kane situation also, and this transfer window is just insane. Only a few days left and now we are seeing Kylian Mbappe wants a move from PSG to Real Madrid and I know this sounds crazy but this is what I am feeling too right now.
Who watches football and they know about Kylian Mbappe they might be aware of his desire to play for Real Madrid and after every year it feels like this summer, Real Madrid will come and smash the bag of cash on the table and will lure the Mbappe but it was not happening. But people think this transfer window will be the one but till now it seems like Madrid wants him in 2022 on a free transfer but “NO”, a day before yesterday they presented their official offer of €160 M, but the offer was declined by PSG immediately, which was not a surprise. But yesterday PSG sporting director Leonardo spoke to the media and he said “if Kylian wants to join Madrid and we will not hold him back, We said NO to Madrid’s offer, but our conditions are met, we’ll see”. What can we make of this statement? The message is clear from PSG, if you want to go you can go but it should be on our condition. And here conditions mean the money. It is my opinion or you can say what is said in the media in recent days, anything above €180 M or 190 M will make this deal happen because PSG still has to pay Monaco €35 M, so through this deal, they want to cover that also and not to forget that huge signing fee. But Madrid is in pole position right now and by this bid, they are just showing to Kylian, hey see we have put the money on the table for you but they were not convinced and now next summer you are a free agent and put a signature on the paper and play for the club you love whole life. I feel PSG is in a very difficult position because they have already presented the two offers but the Mbappe is firm and he declined both offers, and even they also don’t want him to go free because of the money they paid for him in 2017 and we all know the value of Kylian Mbappe, in the current market he is one of that player beside Haaland for whom club can pay around €200 M. So I am expecting more drama in next 5 days and if Madrid doesn’t make any more bid then it is clear that they just want to send a message to Mbappe and they will welcome him in next 2022 transfer window when he will be a free agent.
