P.V SINDHU WINS HER SECOND OLYMPICS MEDAL FOR INDIA

History has been made as P.V Sindhu wraps up the bronze medal match and secures bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics for her. When she was heading towards this Olympics everyone in India expected her to win the 2nd consecutive medal and she prove them right as She was dominant throughout the tournament and played exceptionally well even better than her previous outing in the Olympics where she won silver.

She started her qualifications campaign against K. Polikarpova where she won the match in two straight games 21-7, 21-10 and in match 2 she faces N.Y. Cheung and she drops another solid performance and won the match by 21-9, 21- 16, and in match 3 which was the last match of qualifiers she won 21-15, 21-13 against M. Blichfeldt, she proceeds to the quarter-final with that victory and she draws with a difficult opponent in quarterfinal A. Yamaguchi but she completely slandered her opponent she uses the court very well, played a match on a good pace and played attacking style which suits her best and played some beautiful cross-court smashes and with that victory she proceeds to Semi-final where she faces T.Y. Tai. In the first game she looked strong and even in an early stage of a game she took a lead also but in the end, the momentum shift towards Tai and she won the 1st game with a close margin of 21-18 but the game was not over for Sindhu and everyone expecting her to be on toes in 2nd game but things didn’t work out for her and she lost the match but her journey was not over she got one final chance where she can win a bronze medal for her country and she did it beautifully against Chinese opponent B.J.He and completely dominates her opponent and won the match by 21-13, 21-15. She was using the court well and she got some very good smashes in her arsenal and she uses them very well and I pictured some smashes in my memory because of their accuracy and timing as well.

And this medal for Sindhu is significant because she becomes the first Indian woman to win 2 medals in consecutive Olympics and she makes the whole of India proud and if I have to be honest everyone was expecting from her and also her dream was to win a Gold medal but that didn’t happen but by winning bronze she shows how good she is and what capabilities she has and improvements she made in her game like her defense has become rock-solid she understands her game more now and special thanks to her coach Park Tae-Sang who joined her in 2019 and 2 years she made a significant amount of improvement and incoming year this graph will only go upward. So hearty congratulations to P.V Sindhu and I hope India can win more medals.
